Project Buyer

The successful candidate should have following qualities:

• Master Degree (technical background would be an advantage),
• 3-4 years of relevant experience,
• Project management experience in automotive industry,
• Good technical background across different commodities,
• Technical knowledge of modern process and production methods,
• Sourcing / Supply Chain experience,
• Ability to drive results in a team environment and handle complex projects,
• Ability to work in matrix organisation,
• Organisation skills,
• Experience in SAP or other ERP systems is an asset,
• Good knowledge of English (both in writing and speaking),
• Knowledge of German would be an asset.

The main duties of hired person will consist of:

• Leading sourcing activities for Business Units-related projects (new products, product changes, cost down programs),
• Accountability for project execution in terms of material sourcing,
• Describing the needs and requirements (target costs, technologies, quality, technical support, technical expertise),
• Coordinating early supplier involvement and pre-selection of suppliers and contribute to supplier contract,
• Preparing and maintaining an overview for Business Units products and their components with all relevant data,
• Participate in new product meetings and represent the sourcing expertise to provide Business Units-Product Development project team and project leader with updates on cost of material,
• Participating in meetings with suppliers (technical reviews, negotiations, assessments, feasibility studies),
• Supporting logistic in procurement of material for product launch,
• Providing the sourcing organisation with sales forecast for capacity planning at suppliers.
